1. It is Tuesday morning and you have just been handed a document that you have been waiting for so you can complete an important project. What do you do with it now? *

I immediately review it and file it in the appropriate folder.

I put it in its home. I do not have time to look at it right now, so I will get to it later.

I place it in my IN box on top of the pile of all the other important documents I have to review.

2. Stand in the doorway of your office (or cube) and take a look at your desk. What does it look like? (Be honest!) *

You could do a photo shoot in my office right now, it looks so good. My desk is nice and clean. There is a home for everything and everything is in its home.

Hey, it might not look perfect, but I know where everything is, and it works for me.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. It´s a mess. I´m going to clean it up next week, as soon as I dig my way out from under this huge pile of papers.

3. You´ve got a big presentation scheduled for next week. Who is going to select your presentation materials? *

I am. I know exactly what I want to use.

When the time comes, I´ll choose whatever is available here at home or in my office.

I will let someone else select the materials for me.

4. As you prepare for your big presentation, there are a lot of details that you have to pull together. In the overall scheme of things, how important is the appearance of your presentation? *

Appearance is everything. My presentation is a reflection of myself, so it is of utmost importance that it looks good.

I believe that if my presentation looks good, it might give me that extra edge when it matters.

I like my presentations to look nice, but it´s not my primary priority.

5.You need to find an important document that you filed away at least one year ago. How quickly do you think you can locate it? *

No problem. I can find any document in less than five minutes.

I´m pretty sure I could find it in less than one hour.

Well. That might take some looking. Can I have a few days to find it?

6. You need to get your hands on some important documents, but you´re on a business trip to Chattanooga. Can someone else find the documents you need if you tell them where to look? *

I doubt it. I´m the only one who could locate the documents.

7. How many times a month do you have to prepare a presentation? *

I give a lot of presentations, more than 10 a month.

I give a fair amount of presentations, probably about five to 10 times a month.

I don´t have to give presentations very often-usually less than four times a month.

8. During the average month, how many times do you organize your desk and/or office? (And no, just thinking about organizing doesn´t count.) *

I like to stay on top of things, so I organize my desk/office about once a week.

I can get away with organizing my desk/office about once or twice a month.

I´m lucky if I get to organize my office even once a quarter

9. How often do you need to organize important materials so you can store them for later use? *

I go through a great deal of documents, so I need to organize them at least once a month.

If I organize my important materials once a quarter, I´m fine.

I don´t have to do very much storage. I probably organize my important documents once a year.

10. When you´re at work or at school, which of these tasks takes up the most of your time or demands the highest priority? *

Developing and preparing presentations is my main task.

I organize a great deal of materials and projects.
